About me
I’m just this guy, you know, who happens to be a huge science-fiction fan. I’ve been one from the first day, probably 20 years ago now, that I started watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. I’ve also always been a writer in a way or another, but the Old Earth project is the most elaborate undertaking that I’ve ever contemplated (well, ok, my Ph.D thesis might be of the same scale…). I’ve had an idea brewing for a while, inspired by Douglas Adams, a series of philosophical essays entitled: “Where man went wrong”, “Some more of men’s greatest mistakes” and “Who are these men anyway?”. But the idea of doing like Voltaire and wrapping a philosophical essay with a novel was the revelation that sparked the Old Earth project.
So it will be a look at what makes us Humans, a simple task, don’t you think?
