In the line of me being the odd man out, I just picked up a bass guitar, and I will try over the next few months to get a decent tune out of it… For now I’m at “Seven Nation Army” (you know, the song with the same 7 notes over and over again on the bass line…), but i’d like to go up to something good…

So I’ll be learning my Metallica, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath songs all over again…

The good thing about bass is that there are limitless weirdness possibilities, once you step outside of the 4 strings basics: 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 15 strings, you name it, some whako did it and is playing with it! Now I just need to make up a good excuse for me needing a 5 and a 8 and a 12 strings…
